On Saturday 6th October 2012 our children participated in the Pick ‘n Pay Women’s Walk. We were so proud of them – they completed the full 5 km walk! We might have had some of us ending last and some of the children had to be carried, but we didn’t give up! We made it to the end!
Thanks to the staff, volunteers and host parents who each held a child’s hand and helped us to supervise the little ones. In total 20 of our children participated, ranging in age from 2 – 5 years old.
Our participation in this walk was our way of joining in the awareness drive for those are suffering from cancer and who battle this disease daily and endure the chemo that goes with it. We did this for you. Keep strong!
“CRCH children walking for a better health” – our Pink Drive initiative. Thank you Pick ‘n Pay for inviting us to participate – we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our children all slept the afternoon after the walk!
