Our Team

The Trust takes ownership and responsibility for the home. The Trust meets four times a year and takes the necessary policy and financial decisions to ensure good governance.

Maryka Vermaak
Trust Chairperson

Practicing Conveyancer at Chris Fick & Associates, past Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and involved with CRCH for some 15 years. A Waterfront Rotary Club representative and Past President.

Pieter Postema
Management Committee Chairperson

Retired Quantity Surveyor having worked at Director level for a listed construction company, involved with CRCH since 2013 and Chairman of the Management Committee. He is also a Waterfront Rotary Club representative and Past President thereof.

Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed

Practicing Dentist at his own practice and has been involved with CRCH for some 10 years.

Sonja van der Sandt

Works at Dialysis Clinics and has been involved with CRCH for approximately 20 years.

Nadene Rolston

Business women with Kis Construction and more and has been involved with CRCH for some 10 years. Waterfront Rotary Club representative and Past President.

Stephanus (Fanie) Herholdt

Church Minister and Head of Jan Kriel Children’s Home, involved with CRCH for 15 odd years.

Hannarie Wenhold

Hannarie served as Chairperson of the Management Committee before Piet for several years. She is representing the Church on the Board of Trustees.

Shireen van Reenen

Was employed as a Social Worker for CRCH in 2011 and left in 2017. Remains as a Trustee for Social Worker support.

The management committee meets once a month with the director. The committee consists of volunteers who support and advise the director in all maters to do with the effective and smooth running of the home.

Pieter Postema
Chairperson Management Comittee

Duly serves as Trustee too. Pieter became involved at CRCH through the Waterfront Rotary Club.

Serena Rosslind

Former volunteer and got involved at CRCH through her daughters interact Club. Her daughter, Tracey Lee Rosslind is an Ambassador for CRCH.

Alfons Genseberger

Became involved through Waterfront Rotary.

Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed

Known as Dr Moh, he became involved through his involvement at Waterfront Rotary.

Rosemary Sloggett

Common ground Church members. She subsequently became a foster parent of one of our children.

Karryn Cartoulis

Very involved in the maintenance of the home and, through her network of friends & real estate clients, she supplies second hand clothes & toys for the children on a regular basis towards the charity shop sales income generation project.

Spiro Mitchell

Spiro was introduced to CR through the Waterfront Rotary. He Is a successful businessman and brings a wealth of experience to the board.

Lionel Daniel

Lionel has been on the board for over 10 years. He's retired and play lots of golf. Married and have 2 children 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandkids.

Natasha Wilson
We are privileged to have a team of fantastic care workers who love, nurture and look after our children.

Anneline Scholz

Started as a Care worker in July 1995 (Nanniehuis Division) and was transferred to Group A as a Child Care Worker. After completing her Social Auxilliary course through Mintin School Development she was appointed on a part -time basis as Auxilliary worker at the home in January 2012.

Rene Williams

Group A Childcare worker since 2001.

Seziwe Alam

Seziwe joined as a relief worker in April 2003 and was appointed as a Domestic Child Care worker in April 2006.

Rayleen Gertse

Started working at CRCH as a Child Care Worker in Group C in December 2003 and in July 2011 she became one of the Creche Teachers.

Zameka Duka

Started working at CRCH as a relief worker in August 2008 and was appointed as a Child Care worker in Group C in August 2011. In August 2012, she was moved to Group B when the opportunity presented itself.

Rosaline Scheffers

Rosaline has been with CRCH for many years, starting in April 1983. She was appointed as the Senior of Group B in February 1997

Mathilda Ruiters

Also a long standing staff member, Mathilda started working at CRCH (Nanniehuis division) in August 1987 and in February 1997 was appointed as the Senior of Group C.

Carmelita Stoffels

Joined in February 2003 as Administrative Assistant and also took on the responsibilities as the Volunteer Co-ordinator.

Merle Jacons

Started as a relief worker in 2005, had a fixed contract in 2010 in place of a staff member who was on maternity leave and in August 2011 was appointed permanently in Group B.

Charmaine Hartzenberg

Charmaine joined CRCH in June 2005 as a relief worker and in June 2008 was appointed permanently as a CCW in Group C.

Lea Willemse

Started working at CRCH in August 1992 as a Child Care worker in Group A.

Phindiwe Mqwebedu

Joined CRCH in May 2008 as a relief worker and was later appointed as a Child Care worker in Group B.

It is a sad reality that difficult worldwide economics is causing a real strain on NGOs throughout South Africa, and at Christine Revell we are no exception ……we are in need of help.

If anyone can help us on an ongoing basis to meet our monthly needs, please let us know – we would be MORE than grateful!

Our current needs are :
Baby Formula – R 3600 – R 4000 pm
Meat supplies – R 10 000 – R 12 000 pm
Vegetables and fruit – R 3000 – R 4000 pm
Groceries – R 4000 – R 6000 pm
Municipal Costs – R 40 000 – R 50 000 pm – winter months
