In celebration of our Olympic athletes – those that took part recently in London and those that will take part in the Paralympics next week – our children from Christine Revell Children’s Home held our own Olympiad recently.
The events were :
- Jumping through hoops
- Volley Ball
- Hoola Hoop
- Soccer – kicking goals
- Potato & Spoon race
- Stump and catch
- Bowling pins
22 children, representing countries involved in our home through our volunteers, participated in these events.
The event was arranged by the Mathilda, with the help of our volunteers from the various countries: Sweden, France, Brazil, USA, Denmark & our very own (proudly) South Africa! There were medals for all the winners of course, and fun was had by all the children (and others)!
