In June we sadly said good-bye to three of our staff members:
- Sarita Sirmongpong (social worker)
- Patricia Sias (child care worker)
- Rowena May(child care worker)
This however has provided opportunities for 2 of our relief workers to be promoted: Zumeka Duka and Merle Jacobs have now accepted permanent positions as Child Care Workers. Rayleen Gertse has been promoted to Creche teacher in the toddler section.
As we have not yet filled the position of Social Worker to replace Mrs Sirmongpong, Anneline Scholtz, who completed a two-year auxiliary social worker course through the Mintin School of Development Studies, is temporarily fulfilling this role. We are very grateful for her help in this regard while we are looking for someone to fill this role on a permanent basis.
We wish these ladies success in their new positions and appreciate their efforts tremendously!
Our gardener, Siphamandla, also deserves a special mention. We obtained his services through HavenHomes where he received valuable training as a gardener. Thank you Siphamandla!
