Swim School Aqua Crazy

Okuhle Media recently produced a 3 part Documentary series called Ocean Adventurer. As part of our social investment we vouched to teach underprivileged children how to swim. We partnered up with the Swim School Aqua Crazy, owned by Thaaniya Ameeroedien. We documented the children’s swimming activities, and produced 2 x 2minute inserts that will be […]

Mandela Day Feedback

It was such a pleasure for us to welcome the various corporates and individuals who committed themselves over this period in July in lieu of the Mandela Outreach Initiative. We would like to take this opportunity to thank every helper for what they did for CRCH and the children in our care. The ways people assisted varied, but […]

Appeal for Car Restraints for the Children

We are in need of car seats for our children when we go on outings, as the safety of our children is paramount to us. We are appealing to the community or corporates to assist us by either donating good quality second-hand seats or sponsoring new seats: we need approximately 10 for the older children […]

Telkom Foundation

Telkom Foundation came to visit Christine Revell Children’s Home and not only supplied us with needed items but also came to our Children’s Home to physically assist us with jobs to do around the home. Even some of the top management team members came out to help on this day!

Carols by Candlelight in 2014

Our Carols by Candlelight was a great success – thanks to our amazing sponsors who helped to make this possible. The event was very well supported by corporates, individual volunteers, host parents and church groups schools. Some people who could not attend the event, donated gifts beforehand.

Corporate Social Initiative

The Claremont Skin, Body & Health Renewal Team took the lead in choosing the Cape Region 2014 Corporate Social Initiative. They chose to assist Christine Revell Children’s Home!

[singlepic id=303 w=320 h=240 float=right]The day turned out to be very successful with approximately 150 patrons that supported the event. The weather was superb which was a great blessing, and we were entertained by DJ Gavin who hosted a Karaoke, with the equipment being sponsored by AV Direct. Matt Gore, the magician known as the […]

Feedback on the Cape Epic : Day 8, Stage 7 – the Finale

Day 8 and the fan caravan is starting to look and feel a little threadbare… We are all ready to go home now. Everything is dirty – even the poor car has never seen this much dirt: the mud is actually dropping off in places. Caught up with Mac and the Techies at the Cycle-Lab […]

Feedback on the Cape Epic: Day 7, Stage 6 – we’re almost home

Woke up sometime around 4am and it really sounded as if it was raining… Or was it? A gently sprinkling in the early hours of the morning settled the dust, freshened up the vegetation and put a sharp nip in the air of the early morning: delicious weather for cycling. The course designers promised a […]

Feedback on the Cape Epic: Thursday Day 6, Stage 5

So… Day 6, Stage 5 is done and dusted… Literally. At the rate this race is going, the soil conservation lobby group will have a case to make for land-grabbing : we are ‘stealing’ the Boland bit by bit. By now the riders, the fan caravan and the crews have fallen into a routine of […]

Feedback on the Cape Epic: Thursday Day 5, Stage 4

Oooh – today it was HOT: getting into the car (did we mention we l-o-v-e cars with aircon?) it said 37.6C… And the car had been standing in the shade. Mercifully today’s route offered a bit more variation – a little bit of track through the pine forests – bit along Baine’s kloof pass, bits […]

Feedback on the Cape Epic Cycle (Stage 3/Day 4)

We received feedback from our brave cyclists riding for Christine Revell Children’s Home. Although the Cycle Tour is done and dusted, we thought you might enjoy reading about their experiences along the way. We started receiving the feedback from Stage 3 of the race. Stage 3 / Day 4 We are halfway – cannot pretend […]
